Daniel Ceja, “Mr. Ceja”
Math Tutor & Enrichment Specialist
Mr. Ceja is a brilliant math educator with a calming presence and a remarkable gift for making students feel seen, capable, and genuinely excited about math. Whether he’s working with a student one-on-one or in a small group, Danny meets them right where they are—gently showing them that when something doesn’t click, it’s not them that’s the problem, it’s just the strategy. And he always has another one ready, helping students find clarity, confidence, and even joy.
With a background in classroom teaching at The Hamlin School and years of experience supporting a wide range of learners, Danny is just as effective with students who feel behind as he is with those eager for more challenge. He pushes advanced learners to think flexibly and creatively—often through rich logic problems and playful explorations of number theory—while anchoring their growth in compassion and trust.
Danny’s sessions frequently include strategic games that make complex math concepts—like probability, pattern recognition, and deductive reasoning—both tangible and fun. His approach builds deep mathematical understanding while also nurturing life skills like perseverance, collaboration, and intellectual risk-taking. At Girlmath, he is beloved for his thoughtfulness, warmth, and endlessly inventive ways of helping students thrive.
